Fall 2022
Registration is now open!
After two years of virtual work, we are now planning for a return to in-person rehearsals and concerts this season.
Our rehearsals are run from 10-noon at St. John Brebeuf Church in River Heights.
Making use of the large sanctuary, we will be able to sing distanced
and we are continuing to ask people to wear masks during the rehearsals and concerts.
Our membership fee is unchanged this season, at $150 for the season or $75 for each semester.
Also, in returning to in-person work, we are asking each member, as they are able,
to make a donation to the church for the use of the space.
As an inclusive community, we welcome everyone, no audition is required to participate!

Joie de Vive - Coming Up!!

Snow!! I can't believe it snowed this week, I suppose winter is rapidly approaching. I have to say though that the colours of the trees near me are quite vibrant this year, much like the sounds we have been making over the last few weeks. Thank you for all your hard work so far this term.

In my update email to you, I indicated that we looked at Masters in this Hall, Gaudete, Away in a Manger, and In the Bleak Midwinter at our last rehearsal. If you get a chance, please listen to these recordings (links in the Choir Loft) before our next rehearsal. It is good to listen to these recordings with score in hand whenever possible.

Speaking of our next rehearsal, just a reminder that in light of this being Thanksgiving weekend, there will be NO rehearsal. Our next rehearsal will be on Oct. 15. At that rehearsal, I would like to review material from This is Noel, Masters in this Hall, Away in a Manger, In the Bleak Midwinter, and start Ding Dong Merrily on High.

I would like to congratulate Sandra Toyne who won the fall SOVT reboot challenge draw. We'll keep you posted on the next draw soon!!!

I think that is all for now, I hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving weekend and I look forward to seeing you on Oct. 15.
